Jenny Nakao works as a studio potter in Seward, Alaska. She received her BFA in ceramics at Northern Arizona University before moving abroad to South Korea for five years to teach ESL and make pots at community centers. Upon moving back stateside, she apprenticed for Peter Brondz in Bird Creek, AK. She opened up her own small studio and home gallery in 2017. She balances studio time with teaching a couple community classes and doing a bit of commercial fishing.
